The RIGHT candidate must be able to:

• Operate all printing machines. This includes flat bed, roll to roll, film laminator, liquid laminator, plotter, router operator.
• Coordinate maintenance and repair of machines, with vendors via the Purchasing & Inventory Coordinator
• Interact with the team to create solutions relative to customers’ satisfaction.
• Examine job orders to determine details such as quantities to be printed, production times, stock specifications, colors, and color sequences
• Set up tooling, load programs and set machine parameters to ensure optimal performance of the equipment.
• Work in a fast paced environment with fast changing priorities and report productivity to the supervisor.
• Operate and set-up a hot and/or cold seal laminator
• Operate large format solvent & UV cured printing equipment
• Operate all printing equipment, including but not limited to the plotter, stand-alone cutter and router.
• Properly use and maintain all printing tools and equipment, as well as maintain machine logs.
• Monitor inventory levels and perform operator level preventative maintenance.
• Review department job tickets, and assist to manage your individual workflow to ensure all orders are completed accurately and on time.
• Consistently meet customers’ expectations while maximizing machine efficiency alongside the department supervisors and managers.
• Operate large format solvent & UV cured printing equipment

Qualification and Experience:

• Minimum one (2117) year of experience in a similar capacity
• Experience in trouble-shooting machines
• Proficient is using computers
• Experience in a wide-format production environment is a plus
• Knowledge of various substrates used in signage production
• Experience using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign or other image manipulating programmes
• Minimum six (6) CXC passes including Information Technology
