General Description of the Role:
The Electrical Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for supervising the electrical maintenance service of plants and warehouses including the equipment, infrastructure and general facilities.
The Electrical Maintenance Coordinator solves the problems related to malfunctions attributable to the electrical field and guarantees the good functioning of the plants, machines and equipment of the plant
from an electrical point of view. Reports to the Maintenance Manager.
Key Responsibilities and Activities:
Reports to the Maintenance Manager and collaborates with the Supply Chain for the performance of its functions
Identifies and contributes to the optimal technical solutions for the minimization of costs and the maximization of production efficiency
Coordinates the internal and external electrical resources and is responsible for carrying out the assigned repairs
Supervises the activities of assigned staff, monitors their performance and conducts timely performance appraisals as required by the Company
Contributes to ensuring the safe operation of equipment
Manages and ensures proper use of workshop equipment and tools
Collaborates with the Stores Team Leader to comply with the company spare parts management procedures
Collaborates with colleagues in the Plant in the application of Lean Manufacturing and
Maintenance principles/practices
Contributes to the activities necessary to support the maintenance, quality, health, safety and environment management systems
Ensures the proper use of safety devices and personal protective equipment
Drives technical and procedural measures to solve the problems related to malfunctions
attributable to the electrical/electronic field
Ensures the timely execution of electrical maintenance activities at the appropriate times, as well as the carrying out of extraordinary electrical interventions based on emergencies occurred, in line with the production needs of the plant
Takes part in the commissioning of the new equipment in order to ensure its correct functioning
Participates in the optimization of spare parts stocks in line with the Management Control
guidelines
Reports emergencies or dangerous conditions
Contributes to the activities necessary to support the maintenance, quality, health, safety and environment management systems
Ensures the proper use of safety devices and personal protective equipment
Complies with Company procedures and provisions on quality, health, safety and environment management systems in order to continue continuous improvement
Informs direct superiors of the non-compliance with the legislative provisions on health and safety and the environment and Food Safety, as well as any discrepancies concerning the application of the rules, procedures and instructions on health and safety and the environment and Food Safety
defined by the Company
Takes part in investigations into accidents, injuries and near accidents;
Required Education, Skills and Competencies:
At least 5 years’ experience in manufacturing factories with positions in Production and/or Plant Engineering and/or Maintenance
Preference for experience in the Food & Beverage industry
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification
Possess strong problem solving and analytical skills
Possess strong organization and management skills
Good interpersonal and leadership skills
Excellent communication skills, both oral & written
Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles applicable to a manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of engineering standards, in particular statutory and mandatory requirements for facilities, plants and equipment
Project Management Training
Exposure to Computer Aided Design (CAD) applications
Competent in the use of Computerized Maintenance Management Software
Competent in the use of Enterprise Resource Planning Software; SAP
Competent in the use of word processing, spreadsheet and database software such as Microsoft Office Suite
