Safety Officer.
The RIGHT
candidate must be able to:

Investigate and record cases of incidents,
accidents and health complaints.
·
Undertake routine risk assessments,
site and equipment inspections.
·
Identify potential safety hazards
and methods of reducing risk.
·
Enforce company’s health and safety
standards relating to fire safety, hazardous materials, first aid, CPR and
hygiene etc.
·
Write reports, compile statistics
and make presentations to employees and managers.
·
Maintain records and update staff
safety officers as needed.
·
Provide health and safety
training and meetings as needed.
·
Liaise with relevant authorities.
·
Ensure compliance with current
health and safety legislation.
·
Assist in the preparation and
maintenance of the organization’s safety policies and strategies.
Qualification and Experience:
·
Occupational Health and Safety certification
or related qualifications.
·
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in occupational
and environmental safety and health.
·
Experience working in a factory environment.
Other Requirements:
·
Food handler’s permit
The RIGHT candidate must have:
·
Sound knowledge of the Factories Act and other relevant legislation.
·
Knowledge of HAACP principles and relevant ISO standards
·
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
·
Excellent communication skills
