QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
1. PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOL EDUCATION
2. AT LEAST ONE YEAR’S PRIOR EXPERIENCE AS A PUMP ATTENDANT
3. HIGHLY ACCURATE, METICULOUS AND SCRUPULOUS WITH UNQUESTIONABLE HONESTY AND INTEGRITY ESPECIALLY IN THE HANDLING OF CASH
4. TRUSTWORTHY AND POSSESS THE ABILITY TO COMMAND TRUST
5. GOOD WRITTEN AND SPOKEN COMMUNICATION SKILLS
6. GOOD CUSTOMER AND INTERPERSONAL RELATIONS SKILLS
7. THE ABILITY TO FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS CONSISTENTLY
JOB SUMMARY:
THE CORE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE PUMP ATTENDANT IS TO GREET CUSTOMERS WARMLY AND SERVE THEM THEIR PETROL NEEDS PROMPTLY AT THE SGCL., BROWN’S TOWN GAS STATION PLANT, AND EXERCISE ACCURACY IN THE HANDLING OF CASH FOR THE COMPANY.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
1. GREET ALL CUSTOMERS WARMLY PRIOR TO SERVING THEM AND THANK THEM FOR THEIR PATRONAGE AFTER SERVING THEM.
2. CHECK ALL CASH RECEIVED FROM CUSTOMERS BEFORE THEY LEAVE THE PUMP
3. ISSUE RECEIPTS TO CUSTOMERS FOR CASH RECEIVED FOR PETROL
4. PROCESS CREDIT AND/OR DEBIT CARD TRANSACTIONS USING THE MOBILE MACHINES OR IF UNAVAILABLE, ASK THE SUPERVISOR/CASHIER TO PROCESS.
5. BALANCE ALL CASH RECEIPTS ON A DAILY BASIS AND TURN OVER RECEIPTS AND CASH TO THE SUPERVISOR/CASHIER
6. COMPLY WITH THE GAS STATION POLICY, SAFETY AND SECURITY POLICY AND ALL OTHER COMPANY POLICES AS ADVISED AND/OR TRAINED TO OBSERVE.
7. ANY OTHER DUTIES THAT MAY BE ASSIGNED FROM TIME TO TIME.
