the financial industry as EMPLOYEE &
INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS MANAGER.
The RIGHT candidate
must be able to:
- Arrange and schedule meetings between grieving workers, managers,
supervisory personnel and union representatives in an effort to resolve
grievances and disputes.
- Conduct Disciplinary Hearings, recommend and when necessary
administer disciplinary sanctions.
- Advise managers and staff in the organization on matters
relating to staff and labour issues, policies and practices at the work place.
- Coordinate wage negotiation strategy and plans and prepare
documents for discussion and approval of the Senior Management Team.
- Conduct compensation surveys for the organization, analyze the
data and make recommendations based on findings.
- Lead the negotiations on behalf of Management with unionized
employees and their
- representatives.
QUALIFICATION &
EXPERIENCE:
- B.Sc. Human Resources, Business Administration or equivalent.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ progressively responsible industrial
relations experience with three (3) years at the management level.
- Certification in Industrial
Relations
The RIGHT candidate
must:
- Have thorough knowledge of practices and principles pertaining to
the industrial relations profession with a proven track record for keeping
current with employee and industrial relations trends.
- Possess excellent conflict resolution, arbitration, collaboration
and consultative skills with proven ability to effectively manage adversarial
and confrontational situations.
- Have excellent knowledge of the collective bargaining process with
extensive experience in negotiating labour contracts and the administration of
collective labour agreements.
