company as an Employee Engagement and
Industrial Relations Officer.
The RIGHT
candidate must be able to:
- Directs the industrial relations activities within the
organization to ensure consistent and objective application of Collective Labor
Agreements (where applicable), Policies, and Statutory provision
- Ensure that the Company’s industrial relations
policies and practices are compatible with the law
- Engage in partnering activities with key stakeholders
(Unions, Management and Employees) to maintain a harmonious working environment
- Prepare and maintain standard/ad hoc reports, queries,
and conduct appropriate investigation(s) to ensure compliance to laws, policies
and procedures
- Monitor and record all subjects of discontent known to
exist but which have not achieved the grievance stage and taking appropriate
action to prevent their escalation into grievances
- Promote acceptance, implementation and consistent
application of industrial relations principles, policies and procedures which
will enhance management/employee relationship and facilitate industrial
stability within the organization
- Interpret and administer the labour contract with
respect to grievances, wages/ salaries, employee benefits, union and management
practices, and other contractual obligations
- Design and implement compensation models using
advanced computer based statistical modeling techniques including linear
programming, pivot table analysis, scenario building, central tendency and
other related analysis tools and techniques
- Obtain information on industry trends and the awards
that have been given as it relates to the compensation packages
- Recommend policy changes to the Human Resource
Manager/Director
Qualification and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or
Management Studies
- Certification in Law, with specialization in Labour
Laws
- Certificate in Supervisory Management from a
recognized institution
- Certification in Industrial Relations, with good
knowledge of Human Resource Management
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in a similar
position

Other Requirements:
- Ability
to directs the industrial relations activities within the organization to

- Knowledge
of government regulations in relations to PAYE , Income Tax and labour
laws (local and in other jurisdictions)
- Ability
to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; establish and maintain
effective working relationships with employees and the public; apply
general principles effectively to specific conditions
- Ability
to maintain composure and communicate effectively under stress; ability to
perform effectively under competing and/or conflicting demands on time and
self in a busy environment; skill and tact in dealing with others
- In-depth
knowledge of Labour laws
- Ability
to effectively mediate on behalf of the organization
- Ability
to prepare and deliver presentations
- In-depth
knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

- Possess
excellent leadership qualities
- Possess
strong organizational, planning, multi-tasking, , problem resolution,
communication, presentation, group facilitation, listening and influencing
skills
- Be able to work well with diverse groups of
people with a clear vision of the organization’s needs
- Be able to
firmly represent the organization at Industrial Dispute Tribunal, Ministry
of Labour, Court, disciplinary hearings etc.
- Possess a
driver’s license and own a reliable motor vehicle
