JOB DESCRIPTION
WE ARE SEEKING AN ACCOUNTS & ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER WHO WILL WORK ALONGSIDE WITH THE COMPANY’S AUDITORS. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE PREPARATION OF INFORMATION USED TO SUPPORT MONTH-END ACCOUNTS (PREPARED BY AUDITORS), INTERFACING WITH SUPPLIERS AND SUBCONTRACTORS AND OTHER GENERAL OFFICE/ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS.
THE CANDIDATE MUST HAVE DEMONSTRATED ABILITY AND EXPERIENCE IN AREAS OF ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE, ACCOUNTS PAYABLE, INVOICING, DATA ENTRY, PRODUCT COSTING, BUDGET DEVELOPMENT & MONITORING, CASH FLOW MONITORING, SALES EVALUATION AND EXCEL REPORTING. WILL ASSIST WITH AUDITS & STOCK TAKING IN COMPLIANCE WITH COMPANY’S POLICIES AND PROCEDURES.
STRONG EMPHASIS ON TIME MANAGEMENT, MANAGING ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES, SUBCONTRACTOR REQUESTS, INVOICING AND COLLECTIONS, MAINTAINING A/R GOALS AND TIMELY COMPLETION OF REQUIRED MONTH-END PROCEDURES. ADDITIONAL DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: PLANNING, PURCHASING SUPPLIES, TRAINING, ASSISTING IN DELEGATION OF OFFICE ACTIVITIES, ASSISTING WITH GARMENT FITTING, ASSISTING WITH THE PACKAGING & DELIVERY PROCESS.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
DATA ENTRY: ALL FINANCIAL TRANSACTIONS
MAINTAINING & REPORTING: ACCOUNTS PAYABLE/RECEIVABLE
PREPARING CHEQUES
PREPARING PURCHASE ORDERS
PREPARING INVOICES
BUDGET DEVELOPMENT & MONITORING
REPORTING & MONITORING CASH FLOW
REPORTING ON SALES
COSTING OF GOODS & SHIPMENTS
ORGANIZING & MAINTAINING FILING SYSTEM TO SUPPORT ACCOUNTING ACTIVITIES, SUPPLIER ORDERS, CLIENT ORDERS, SHIPMENTS, TCC AND NCC REGISTRATION
MANAGING TCC & NCC REGISTRATIONS
MANAGING COMPANY RETURNS & ANY OTHER GOJ REQUIREMENT
MANAGING AND IMPLEMENTING ALL INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS
MANAGING AND IMPLEMENTING ALL OFFICE SUPPLIES
MANAGING AND IMPLEMENTING ALL MAINTENANCE & REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS FOR VEHICLES

MICROSOFT OFFICE SKILLS INCLUDING MICROSOFT WORD, POWERPOINT, OUTLOOK WITH PARTICULAR EMPHASIS ON EXCEL.
MINIMUM 5 YEARS OF MANAGING, SUPERVISING OR SUPPORTING A TEAM IN AN OFFICE ENVIRONMENT EXPERIENCE
STRONG COMMAND OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE (ORAL & WRITTEN)
VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE
PREFERRED:
BACHELOR'S DEGREE IN BUSINESS OR ACCOUNTING
WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF GOVERNMENT OF JAMAICA (GOJ) REQUIREMENTS FOR TAX COMPLIANCE, NATIONAL CONTRACTS COMMISSION RE-REGISTRATION
WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF FINANCE FUNCTIONS
