The RIGHT candidate must be able to:
- Support the Sales Manager in negotiating contracts.
- Participate in marketing efforts at trade shows and conferences.
- Develop an up-to-date knowledge of the characteristics, strengths and weaknesses of products, and of relevant specifications.
- Develop a good knowledge of the market; demand, competition and prices
- Maintain business ethics in the execution of duties.
- Prepare and present reports accurately and timely.
- Execute professionalism when communicating with internal and external customers.
- Prompt handling of customer queries (complaints must be handled with immediacy and with aim to achieve customer satisfaction).
- Maintain work area in keeping with a “clean desk’ policy.
- Be Punctual at all Company meetings, on and off site.
- Foster open and clear communication at all levels
- Act as a strategic partner
- Build and maintain credibility with key stakeholders
- Follow through on commitments to customers
- Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed
- Adjust content of sales presentations by studying the type of sales outlet or trade factor.
- Focus sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of dealers.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies, where required.
Qualification/Experience/ Requirements:
- Three or more years or experience in Sales &/or Marketing.
- Evidence of established sales track record of exceeded quotas.
- Minimum of a First Degree or equivalent in the related field.
- Knowledge of industry practices.
- Emphasis on Excellence with a positive Energy Level
- Ability to deliver quality customer service
- Excellent negotiation skills
